Victor Osimhen has recently played a pivotal role in leading Napoli to clinch their first Serie A Scudetto title in over three decades. He scored 26 goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances last season.

Napoli undoubtedly wishes to retain Osimhen's services as they aspire to continue their success in the 2023/2024 season. However, with the Nigerian national team striker having only two years left on his contract, more clubs are expressing their interest in acquiring him.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are reportedly considering making a move for the 24-year-old player. Meanwhile, Chelsea might not be overly interested as they are currently pursuing a deal to bring Villarreal player Nicolas Jackson to their ranks.

On the other hand, Real Madrid may still be toying with the idea of approaching Osimhen. Los Blancos have just acquired Joselu and are constantly linked with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

If Real Madrid can meet the desired price for Mbappe, PSG will also be in search of a new forward. Osimhen is likely to emerge as a transfer target in such a scenario.

Comment from Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis

Napoli has officially introduced Rudi Garcia as their new coach after Luciano Spalletti decided to take a long break. The topic of Osimhen's future emerged during the press conference.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis told reporters, "We have already had discussions with Osimhen before the Scudetto celebrations, so we have a basic agreement for a two-year contract extension."

"I have been saying for a long time that Osimhen must stay. However, if an offer comes in that I cannot refuse for the good of Napoli, then we will consider it, and that is only fair," De Laurentiis added.

Victor Osimhen's Desire to Play in the Premier League

Having spent three years at Napoli, Victor Osimhen has admitted that his dream is to play in the Premier League.

Napoli will strive to recoup at least £100 million for their most valuable asset. This is due to Osimhen's price tag reaching €80 million in 2020.

With a high possibility of losing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, Manchester United could consider recruiting Osimhen this summer, especially since Wout Weghorst will be returning to Burnley and Anthony Martial is expected to leave Old Trafford soon.
