Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane appears to be eager to move away from North London. The 29-year-old footballer hopes to be rescued by Manchester United (MU), regardless of the stubborn stance displayed by The Lilywhites towards interested clubs.

As known, the Red Devils are currently in pursuit of new recruits to strengthen their frontline in the 2023/2024 season. MU manager Erik ten Hag is in need of an elite striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who parted ways with the club at the end of last year.

Harry Kane has been widely rumored as the main candidate being sought by the Dutch tactician to join Old Trafford. The English international player has a remarkable reputation for his ability to score goals in the Premier League.

Unfortunately, MU's efforts to acquire Kane have been hindered by Tottenham Hotspur's refusal. The club reportedly doesn't want to let go of their star player to the Red Devils. Spurs have also set a high price for teams interested in Kane's services. This stance has put Manchester United in a difficult position.

According to reports from Metro, MU is believed to have ended their interest in signing Kane from North London. The Red Devils have even turned their attention elsewhere in search of a striker, as they consider the captain of The Three Lions to be out of their reach.

Nevertheless, Harry Kane himself is reportedly not giving up on his desire to move to the Theatre of Dreams. He hopes that Manchester United can rescue him from Tottenham Hotspur by submitting an opening offer to The Lilywhites.

The Price to Snatch Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur

However, Harry Kane's hopes seem to be quite challenging to materialize. Spurs are demanding a staggering price tag of up to £100 million from the Red Devils if they want to secure the services of the English international player.

Metro believes that Manchester United is reluctant to spend such a large sum to meet Spurs' demands. This consideration is based on Kane's age, as well as his contract with The Lilywhites, which is set to expire next summer.

As for the Red Devils, they are reportedly only willing to meet a price closer to £80 million. However, Daniel Levy himself is said to still want to keep Kane in North London, with the hope that he will sign a new contract within the next 12 months.

MU Could Return to an Old Target

Without Harry Kane, the Red Devils can actually turn to an old target. The latest reports claim that Victor Osimhen has the potential to be sold by Napoli in the summer 2023 transfer window.

As known, Osimhen was previously considered by MU, alongside Harry. The rumors of his transfer had faded after Napoli won the Scudetto, as Partenopei boss Aurelio De Laurentiis stated that he would not sell the Nigerian player.

However, MU suddenly received good news on Monday, June 19, 2023, in Italy. De Laurentiis began to change his mind and indicated that he was ready to sell Osimhen in the summer 2023 transfer window if a suitable offer arrives.
