UFC Fight Night is set to deliver an exciting lineup of bouts for mixed martial arts (MMA) enthusiasts on Saturday, June 24, 2023. One of the main events features veteran fighter Josh Emmett taking on Ilia Topuria in Jacksonville, Florida, United States.

There's a lot at stake in this matchup, including the opportunity to challenge the reigning UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski, or his challenger, Yair Rodriguez. Both fighters are scheduled to face each other in July.

Emmett is looking to bounce back after suffering a loss to Rodriguez on February 11. In that fight, the 38-year-old Emmett had to relinquish his interim title after being forced to submit to Rodriguez in the second round.

Emmett (18-3-0) has more experience than his opponent, but in this fight, he is likely to be considered the underdog against Ilia Topuria. El Matador, as Topuria is known, is an undefeated rising star in the UFC featherweight division, with a flawless record of 13 wins.

In UFC 282, El Matador defeated Bryce Mitchell with an arm triangle choke in the second round. He has also successfully defeated other notable fighters such as Jai Herbert and Ryan Hall.

In addition to these two matchups, UFC Fight Night this weekend will also feature other intriguing fights, including a flyweight clash between Amanda Ribas (#9) and Maycee Barber (#11).

The other main fights are as follows:

Heavyweight: Austen Lane vs. Justin Tafa

Featherweight: David Onama vs. Gabriel Santos

Middleweight: Brendan Allen vs. Bruno Silva
