AC Milan has officially confirmed the signing of Christian Pulisic on a permanent contract from Chelsea. The 24-year-old player has inked a four-year deal with the Italian club.

The American forward will join the Rossoneri until the end of the 2026/2027 season. Pulisic departs the club after spending four years with The Blues.

Pulisic's agreement also includes an option to extend his stay until 2028. He becomes Milan's fourth summer signing, following Luka Romero, Marco Sportiello, and former Chelsea player Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

AC Milan reportedly paid an upfront fee of €20 million or £17.1 million to secure the services of the former Borussia Dortmund player. Previously, Pulisic was linked with Lyon but decided to make the move to San Siro.

Pulisic Bids Farewell to Chelsea After Mixed Spell

Pulisic failed to live up to expectations at Chelsea following his €64 million or £54.7 million move from Dortmund. However, he was initially loaned back to the German club for the first six months of his Chelsea contract.

His debut season in West London started positively, as the US international scored nine goals and provided six assists in 15 Premier League appearances.

Pulisic's Struggle to Maintain Consistency at Chelsea

Pulisic then faced a battle to maintain consistency under the management of Thomas Tuchel. His fortunes didn't improve under Graham Potter and Lampard after Tuchel's dismissal.

In the 2022-23 season, Pulisic managed only one goal and two assists in 30 appearances. He featured in just eight Premier League matches and one Champions League game.

Pulisic's Debut Match for AC Milan

Pulisic is set to make his friendly debut for Milan against Real Madrid on July 23, before the Rossoneri face Juventus and Barcelona in the United States as part of the Soccer Champions Tour.
