Level Infinite has unveiled the gameplay trailer for Ubisoft's upcoming mobile game, Assassin's Creed: Jade, as part of the Into the Infinite showcase at Gamescom 2023.

The trailer showcases players engaging in various Assassin's actions, such as stealthy movements, parkour, rooftop and mine traversing, as well as executing stealth kills from behind or leaping from rooftops.

The protagonist is depicted battling numerous foes using close-range weapons like axes, spears, and swords. The gameplay also reveals horseback riding and employing arrows to eliminate enemies.

Quoting the official Assassin's Creed Jade website, the game is slated for release on iOS and Android devices and recently completed its first Closed Beta testing on August 3, 2023.

In a press release on Friday (August 25, 2023), Level Infinite mentioned that players interested in trying it before the official launch can join the upcoming second closed beta phase.

Previously known as Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, the game is set in China during the Qin Dynasty era, marking it as the second title set in China after Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.

According to the official website, the story is set in the 3rd century BCE, at the dawn of trade and cultural exchange between East and West. However, a new threat emerges during this period.

Nevertheless, the exact release date for Assassin's Creed: Jade on both Android and iOS platforms is yet to be announced.

Beyond Assassin's Creed Jade, the Into the Infinite showcase by Level Infinite brought several other exciting game-related announcements.

On a different note, Assassin's Creed Mirage has been announced to debut a week earlier than initially planned. Originally scheduled for release on October 12, 2023, Ubisoft officially announced via their Assassin's Creed X account (formerly Twitter) that the game will launch on October 5, 2023.

"On behalf of the entire team, we can't wait for you to explore 9th-century Baghdad alongside Basim," Ubisoft wrote through their handle @assassinscreed, as quoted on Thursday (August 17, 2023).

According to The Verge, the release of Assassin's Creed Mirage will add to the already crowded October 2023 game release schedule.

Anticipated titles include Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, Alan Wake 2, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Assassin's Creed Mirage will focus on Basim, a character previously featured in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The game's setting is 9th-century Baghdad.

Ubisoft also mentioned that Mirage will offer gameplay similar to its predecessors, emphasizing stealth, in contrast to several recent RPG-oriented titles.
