Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly gearing up to launch a retaliatory move against Real Madrid. They plan to target several of Los Blancos' stars in response to the potential transfer of Kylian Mbappe to Bernabeu.

As is known, the French international player has been strongly linked with the LaLiga giants for some time now. This speculation gained momentum as Mbappe himself has stated his reluctance to extend his contract with Les Parisiens.

Many believe that Mbappe fundamentally wants to join Real Madrid once his agreement at Parc des Princes comes to an end.

Moreover, the player nearly joined El Real in 2022 before making a surprising maneuver by signing a new contract with Les Parisiens.

In the wake of this situation, PSG seems to hold a grudge against Real Madrid. They are rumored to be targeting some of Los Blancos' valuable players as a form of counter-attack against the Spanish club's closeness to Mbappe.

A report from Daily Mail reveals that Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already identified five potential names to bring to Parc des Princes.

Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are the two main targets according to OkDiario. In addition to them, Les Parisiens are also said to be eyeing the signatures of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde.

However, it doesn't mean PSG won't face challenges in snatching Real Madrid's assets. Daily Mail suggests that Luis Enrique's club may face significant difficulties because Los Blancos have already surrounded their star players with high release clauses.

Take Vinicius Junior, for example. The Brazilian footballer recently signed a new contract with Madrid in the summer. This agreement also marked the existence of a fantastic release clause worth £860 million that must be redeemed if they want to snatch the player from Bernabeu.

This situation is likely to complicate matters for PSG because they won't receive additional funds from Kylian Mbappe's departure. Even if the player moves to Real Madrid, he could be acquired for free since his contract is set to expire in 2024.

It's more realistic for PSG to target Rodrygo if they are still determined to poach a star from Real Madrid, according to Daily Mail.

Les Parisiens could also turn to the next alternatives, namely Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, or Federico Valverde, to bolster their midfield and anticipate the potential departure of Marco Verratti to Saudi Arabia.
